Never Before Published! – Introducing The Purpose of Man – 2/18/2009

The Purpose of Man” is the first book in the new A.W. Tozer Library of never before published Tozer writings, releasing now and over the next few years.
In this book we transcribed tapes of A.W. Tozer’s best sermons, with the full authorization of the Tozer estate, we reviewed every line of this book with care, working with general editor James Snyder and third party reviewers as well. After Snyder turned in his draft of the book, we went through the book and gave it a gentle polish, designed it and proofread it for errors.
The book itself contains a detailed introduction by general editor James Snyder, and Tozer preserved never before published writings in 14 chapters.
Hope you enjoy the book! We’ll post more samples of the book, endorsements and other things later!
TOZER’S LOVE OF HYMNS – Page 182 – 2/20/2009
I stumbled across this lovely quote today, a side of Tozer you don’t often see in his writing:
“I must confess that I am an ardent lover of hymns. In my library, I value a collection of old hymnals. Often, on the way to an appointment, I will grab one of these hymnals to read and meditate. After the Bible, the next most valuable book is a hymnal. But do not get one that is less than a hundred years old! Let any new Christian spend a year prayerfully meditating on the hymns of Watts and Wesley alone, and he will become a fine theologian. Then read a balanced diet of the Puritans and the Christian mystics, and the result will be more wonderful than you could dream.”
What a great book for worship leaders and their teams to work through together. To refresh the reason we do what we do and do it with all our hearts.
I am looking for the books and sermons of Tozer available because I’ve read only one of his books and I would like to read more as he reveals the truth in wonderful ways which are good for any growing Christian. Assist me with links or please, if you can, just email them for me. I desire to let the Word richly indwell me. please help me out as soon as you can.
